Pontchatoula Wetlands
Parishes Served: TangipahoaPonchatoula has an area that is a non-functioning wetland which has caused it to be an environment currently conducive to pest/insect growth. This not only causes a health hazard for the citizens in the community but also makes city owned property unusable for community needs.
By restoring this area to a functioning/healthy wetland water can be properly filtered and drained, increasing the diversity of native plants and animals.
