Learn to Grow
Parishes Served: CaddoLearn to Grow is a hands-on garden project. It is designed to engage the students in activities that teach science according to LA GLE's, standards and benchmark as well as meeting the needs of the community. The project allows the students to plan, create, demonstrate, and inform others about plants and their environment. Participants will work with teachers, local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and professionals to plan and construct a garden, compost and a green house to help facilitate their learning. The school is an inner city elementary with a population of 641students.
